Role ane. DISSECTION OF THE SKIN LAYERS

1. Insert the  Anatomy and Physiology Revealed® CD



in the CD drive of your computer.

2. You lot will then see the  Home screen.  From the  SYSTEM MENU  select  INTEGUMENTARY Arrangement.

iii. Click on the  autopsy icon. .

4. From the  select topic menu  select  THIN Skin AND SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE.  Click on the greenish button "Go"  (on the correct).

v. On the left hand side yous volition encounter the  LAYER CONTROLS  window, on the right you will see the  IMAGE Surface area  that shows the area of

the cadaver that you will exist dissecting.

6. The  LAYER CONTROLS  window contains 2 methods to view the dissected image of the cadaver in the  Prototype Surface area.

- Commencement method: The row of  LAYERS TAGS ON/OFF  buttons will provide sequentially deeper views of the cadaver'due south beefcake with pocket-sized colored

"pins" or tags to indicate specific structures that you should learn. Feel complimentary to click on these buttons to see the layers they correspond. Some of

the pins are greenish, some are blueish. The green pins evidence structures of the integumentary organization, the blueish pins show structures that are not part

of the integumentary system.

- Second method:  Carmine sliders  located between the LAYERS TAG ON/OFF buttons and the Legend in the LAYER CONTROLS  can be

moved downward  to reveal progressively deeper layers of dissection. Place the mouse cursor on the first slider (LAYER 1). Click and hold the

left mouse button and movement the mouse backward, toward you. As you do the slider moves downward and reveals deeper structures. Repeat

this process with the remaining sliders (LAYERS two-iii-4) to explore how sliders role. Return all the sliders to the up position and revisit the

row of LAYERS TAGS ON/OFF.
